DOJ series consists of an outer race, an inner race, 6 steel balls, and a cage. The inner side of the outer race is cylindrical and has 6 ball grooves parallel to the axial direction. Inner race ball grooves are also placed at 6 locations parallel to the axial direction. 6 steel balls held in the cage are placed in the ball groove and transmit torque in the rotation direction. The rolling of steel balls in the axial ball groove enables expansion and contraction inside the joint.

Smooth expansion and contraction inside the joint
The ball groove inside the outer race is parallel to the shaft, and it is possible to change the working angle and expand and contract while transmitting torque evenly. Expansion and contraction is the rolling of a steel ball in the ball groove, therefore the movement is smooth.
Vibration absorption of axial direction
It can be expanded and contracted inside the joint therefore, it is possible to absorb axial vibration during rotation.
Easy to install
It can be expanded and contracted inside the joint therefore, it can be easily attached to the device. Also, the centering is easy by mounting the boss type with a pin and flange type with a spigot.
For the small sized DOJ series, the inner head structure is adopted. It is a very compact CVJ with a simple structure that has less parts and does not use the conventional spline connection.
The medium sized joints which have a relatively large load has a molybdenum disulfide coating on its internal parts, so it has an effect on initial familiarization, and durability is improved by reducing frictional resistance. Also, high quality grease which contain molybdenum is used inside the joint.
